IMPORTANT NOTICE: BEWARE OF SCAM JOB POSTING ON INDEED
It has come to our attention that a scam job posting was recently posted on Indeed, advertising an open position at the Hicksville Water District. Immediate action was taken to bring down the fraudulent advertisement, which appeared to use a fake email address in order to make contact with interested candidates. The email requested sensitive information, including social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and birth certificates.
It is important to note that the Hicksville Water District does not post job openings on third party websites, nor do we ask for any personal or sensitive information from potential candidates. If you or anyone you know applied for the fraudulent position and supplied sensitive information, we urge you to contact Indeed.com and local law enforcement immediately.
