LEGAL NOTICE
RESOLUTION SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF A MEETING OF THE INSPECTORS OF ELECTION OF THE HICKSVILLE WATER DISTRICT IN THE TOWN OF OYSTER BAY AND TOWN OF HEMPSTEAD, NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Water Commissioners of the HICKSVILLE WATER DISTRICT in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the Hicksville Water District in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, will hold the annual election of said Water District on December 12, 2017;
WHEREAS, Section 213-a of the Town Law requires that only persons registered with the Nassau County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2017 shall be entitled to vote in such annual election;
WHEREAS, Section 213-a permits that a resolution setting the time and place of the meeting of the election inspectors appointed by said Board of Water Commissioners of said Water District for the aforesaid general election be published;
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Water Commissioners of the Hicksville Water District, in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, as follows:
Section 1. The inspectors of election approved by resolution of said Board of Water Commissioners for the December 12, 2017 annual election, shall meet at the Water District Headquarters, 4 Dean Street, Hicksville, New York, on November 27, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. to commence preparation of the register of those persons eligible to vote in such annual election. Only those persons registered with the Nassau County Board of Elections on or before November 20, 2017 will be entitled to vote at such annual election.
Section 2. This resolution, which is effective immediately, shall be published in full in NEWSDAY, a newspaper of general circulation in said Water District, one time, at least twenty-seven (27) days before such annual election.

RESOLUTION NAMING BOARD OF ELECTIONS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Water Commissioners of the HICKSVILLE WATER DISTRICT in the Town of Oyster Bay and the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners has fixed an annual election to be held on December 12, 2017;
WHEREAS, Section 212 of the Town Law requires that the annual election for the position of Water Commissioner be fixed for December 12, 2017 at a minimum between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., prevailing time, with the Board electing to set the hours of election from 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., prevailing time, and it will be necessary to appoint inspectors for this election.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the following election inspectors are hereby designated for such purpose and designated as inspectors for registration of voters under Town Law, Section 212; namely,
[INSERT NAMES OF CHAIRMAN, ELECTION INSPECTORS, BALLOT CLERKS AND CLERICAL ASSISTANTS FOR ELECTION]
, and it is further
RESOLVED, that the compensation of such election inspectors shall not be in excess of ten ($10.00) dollars per hour for time worked in reference to the meeting to prepare the rolls and election day duties, which shall be a charge against the district for each day in attendance at the annual election and for the meeting held to prepare the voter registration rolls and perform such other preparatory duties for said annual election.

MEETING OF ELECTION BOARD TO PREPARE REGISTRATION ROLLS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Water Commissioners of the HICKSVILLE WATER DISTRICT in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, as follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Water Commissioners of the Hicksville Water District in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, will hold the annual election of said Water District on December 12, 2017;
WHEREAS, Section 213-a of the Town of Law requires that only persons residing in the district (for at least 30 days before the date of the election; see Section 213 of the Town Law) and registered to vote with the Nassau County Board of Elections on or before twenty-three (23) days before December 12, 2017 shall be entitled to vote in such annual election;
WHEREAS, Section 213-a provides for adoption of a resolution setting the time and place of the meeting of the election inspectors appointed by said Board of Water Commissioners of said Water District for the aforesaid general election be published.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Water Commissioners of the Hicksville Water District in the Town of Oyster Bay and Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, New York, as follows:
