The HWD recently hosted a community meeting to educate residents on upcoming construction at the District’s Plant 6 treatment facility. The District is passionate about remaining transparent with its community, and thus sent out invitations to all residents who live within several blocks of the project site, as they are the ones most likely to be affected by the construction. A presentation was created to detail every aspect of the project to not only inform the community about the specifics of the work being done, but also to show the ways in which the District is working to make sure the construction has as little an impact on their daily lives as possible. This project will represent yet another step forward in the HWD’s mission to provide its community with the highest-quality drinking water possible, and the presentation can be viewed below.
