District Officials Spoke with Residents About All Things Water
Continuing its years-long tradition of participating in the annual event, the Hicksville Water District (HWD) set up a booth to speak with their community during the recent Hicksville Street Fair. Chairman Karl Schweitzer and fellow Commissioners William Schuckmann and Nicholas Brigandi, as well as several District employees were all on hand to talk to residents about all things related to their drinking water. Residents who visited the District booth were provided HWD paraphernalia, including tote bags, water bottles and informational materials.
“Tending our booth at the Hicksville Street Fair is always a pleasure for us,” said Chairman Schweitzer. “We enjoy connecting with our residents in a fun setting, answering any questions they might have about what our District does to service their needs every day. It’s something to which we look forward every year, and we’re excited to see them all again in 2025.”
Visitors to the HWD booth also received information on the EyeOnWater app. This free app is a great way to keep track of your water usage and set up a water conservation plan that works according to each individual homeowner’s needs. It also helps detect abnormalities in water usage, alerting users of leaks that they might not have found otherwise.
