Attention residents: Your first quarter water bills will be arriving in the coming days and we’d like to remind everyone that these are the first bills with the new water rates. The additional revenue generated from these modest increases, which came into effect on January 1, 2021, will help cover the costs associated with construction and installation of new advanced oxidation process (AOP) and granular activated carbon (GAC) treatment systems to rid our drinking water of 1,4-dioxane and other emerging contaminants.
Vast majority of residents will notice a minimal impact in this billing cycle, but this impact could become more significant as we enter into the height of irrigation season. It all depends on your consumption.
