Hicksville Water Attends Annual Drinking Water Quality Conference

December 12, 2017

The Hicksville Water District Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, William Schuckmann and Superintendent Anthony Iannone recently attended the Long Island Water Conference’s Fifth Annual Water Quality Symposium. The day acted as an educational outlet for water industry professionals to network and discuss the most pressing issues facing Long Island’s drinking water.

Representatives of public and private water suppliers, elected officials, engineers and various drinking water experts gathered to discuss the state of New York’s drinking water infrastructure and the latest efforts in water conservation. The conference focused primarily on two issues: key water infrastructure upgrades and the sustainability and conservation of our water supply. These topics were addressed and debated by regional and federal experts in two panel discussion, in which expert panelists gave presentations and engaged in question and answers with attendees to give as much information as possible
